Portugal has signed Hague Apostille Convention for authentication of document. All supporting public documents, originating from foreign country submitted to AIMA for golden visa application must bear APOSTILLE seal from federal authorities.

Important: All documents except passport and term of responsibility require legalisation from Portuguese embassy abroad (or) an apostille stamp. All documents must be translated into portuguese language and legalized. Please make sure your passport has more than 6 months validity before you apply.

If your country does not belong to Apostille hague convention, documents must be stamped/legalized at the Portuguese embassy in your country.

  • Documents originating within EU (issued by EU authorities). No certification needed directly accepted by AIMA. Official Translation is needed (if not in Spanish, French, Portuguese or Italian)
